Levelator

posted 03/08/2011

This powerful audio tool takes a wav or aiff file and balances different audio levels so they are at their maximum level without distortion. The result is sound that is more easily heard and understood. Levelator is most useful for spoken word. Not recommended for music since it flattens dynamic range. It is very useful on raw audio tracks before any editing.

This free audio editor is a favorite of many because of the rich features it has and the fact that the user interface is the same for both Macintosh and Windows.
